It’s been a good week in Room 4! Addie got us off to a good start with Student of the Week. It was fun to read about her and see her pictures. It will be Kiyah’s turn next week. How about the concert? Didn’t they look and sound great? J We also took the Unit 1 Test in Social Studies this week. The class did very well on it. In math we are finishing up Topic 7 – Subtraction facts to 12. We will be testing over it next week.
We are doing a Santa’s bag during December. Each good paper gives the student a chance to put their name in the bag. We draw names for prizes several times during the week. We also have had an elf named Fitz visit our room. The students have had fun seeing where he is each day, as he moves at night and is in a different place in the morning. The students also get to practice reading skills as they read the note he leaves for us each day. We have our class Christmas tree up. We made red and green chains and a Santa ornament for decorations. We also drew and painted a reindeer that is hanging in the hall.
Our Christmas party will be Friday, December 19th. We will be having a gift exchange. Students are asked to bring a $5 gift. Boys should bring a gift for a boy and girls a gift for a girl. Please mark the wrapped gift boy or girl. If this is a problem, please let me know. I don’t want anyone to be left out.
Our Christmas Party committee is:
4 Sandwiches cut in fourths – Caige
4 Sandwiches cut in fourths – Kiyah
