Happy New Year! It’s been a good week and everyone was glad to be back at school again. We even had three perfect attendance days! I hope you enjoyed your time together over Christmas break. Speaking of Christmas, thanks to everyone who brought treats for our Christmas party. The students really enjoyed them. We also celebrated Brodie’s December 29th birthday on Monday. On Tuesday we talked about our wishes for the New Year and made balloons to hang in the hall. This week Aileen was our Student of the Week. We enjoyed reading her story and looking at her pictures. Next week it’s Chloe’s turn.
In Social Studies we talked about school and home routines. We also learned about Ruby Bridges. Ask your child to tell you about her. In handwriting we worked on the letter b. The science lesson was on the senses. In art we made snow people. Ms. Kludt came into our room for Guidance on Tuesday.
The January book orders came home on Wednesday. If you want to order books, please have your money and order form at school by next Wednesday, January 13th. You can also order online using the order code DVTV6.
