The following letter was enclosed in your child's report car
d.It’s hard to believe the first nine-weeks is over already. The class has really come a long way since August. It’s impressive to see how much they’ve learned. I hope you’ve noticed the changes too. I especially notice a lot of changes in handwriting and reading, as both continue to improve. Because the first graders quickly memorize the stories, going over the workbook pages together when they come home can also provide some good reading practice. This quarter the students were working on the numbers from 1 to 12, comparing numbers and understanding addition and subtraction in math. Thanks for all your help in studying the spelling words at home. It really makes a difference!
Our Halloween party will be Friday, October 31 at 2:00 p.m. We have 20 students in our class. Costumes are not worn at school parties.
