It’s been a busy week in Room 4! Monday we celebrated Read Across America Day. Everyone looked grand in their stripes and red or white. We had three fifth graders come down and share a Dr. Seuss story with us. There was cake for lunch with red and blue fish on top. We put together some Dr. Seuss book puzzles. The students also got a Dr. Seuss pencil and eraser. We have been making a passport with the Dr. Seuss stories we heard this week.
This week Bryce was the Student of the Week. We liked looking at his pictures and reading his autobiography. Next week it will be Brianna’s turn.
We started Topic 11 in math. We are learning about tens and ones. In Social Studies we are learning about needs and wants. We also talked about saving and spending our money. For art we are making step by step drawings of leprechauns.
The third quarter ends March 11th. The report cards will be coming home on Monday, March 16th.
Don’t forget the family night, “Animals as Architects.” It will be Thursday, March 12th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the MPHS Commons and Gym. This should be a fun time for families.
Until next time,
Mrs. Mack
