We are off to a good start in April. The students are enjoying the warmer weather. We have had some changes in our classroom. Aiden and Brody have moved, so now we have 16 students in our class. We enjoyed looking at the Student of the Week bulletin boards for Jeremiah, Wyatt and Dominic these past few weeks. We also had fun making some rabbits to decorate the hall outside our classroom.
Congratulations to Mikayla, Jeremiah, Ashton, and Bryson for handing in their March reading logs. I hope April showers bring reading hours to your house and we have better participation in April.
Next week we will start doing the plate project I discussed with you at conference time. Each child will draw a picture or design a plate. Then we’ll send in the drawings and they will be put on a plate. This plate is a durable, dishwasher-safe melmac plate. The cost of each plate is $9.25. Students may do more than one plate if they wish. Please have the money at school by Tuesday, April 18th. A check can be made out to me and I will send in one check. If this is a problem for anyone, please let me know and I will try to make other arrangements. We want to get started on this project so the plates will be back before school gets out. I can’t wait to see what the students create! ☺
The April book orders went home last week. Students wishing to order books should have their money at school by Tuesday, April 11th. You may also order online. Our class code is DVTV6.
Calendar Notes:
- There will be no school Friday, April 14th and Monday, April 17th.

Happy Spring! Happy Easter!
